Assistant Professors of Mathematics



Tenure-track positions. Applications are sought in applied mathematics and statistics, but applications in pure mathematics will be considered.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. by August 2013 and a strong record of or potential for teaching.  Salary is competitive and depends on experience.  Duties include teaching undergraduate courses with activities in scholarship and service expected.  Some teaching experience is preferred, and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching is required.  Ability to use and teach with technology is recommended.

Start Date: August 2013

Materials Needed: 1) Letter of interest describing interest in FMU (referencing position number 13-14); 2) curriculum vitae; 3) statement of teaching philosophy; 4) FMU faculty application; 5) three letters of reference; list of three additional reference names, addresses, e-mail addresses, and telephone numbers; and 6) copies of all transcripts (official transcripts will be required of the successful candidate).

Application Deadline: There is no application deadline, but review of applications will begin May 13, 2013, and continue until position is filled.
