For the period 9-13-2014 through 9-28-2014 the following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by Campus Police:

9-13-2014 – Alcohol – Campus Police officers were dispatched to a Watson Hall room in regards to a naked male student.  Two RAs told the officers they were at the room in regards to a noise complaint and found a naked student who was grossly intoxicated.  The officers determined the student was so intoxicated he needed to be checked out be medical personnel.  The student was transported to the hospital via ambulance and referred to Student Affairs for university policy violations.

9-14-2014 – Roommate Dispute – A Watson Hall student came to Campus Police to report a problem with his roommate.  The student reported he and his roommate had been having problems since the beginning of the semester.  The other roommate confirmed they have been having problems.  Both students referred to Student Affairs and Housing for follow-up.

9-17-2014 – Suitemate Dispute – Campus Police responded to Palmetto Hall in regards to a suitemate dispute.  One student reported her suitemates were constantly locking her out of the bathroom and also banged on her door and cussed at her.  The other students admitted to occasionally inadvertently leaving the door locked by accident.  All suitemates were referred to Housing and Student Affairs for follow-up.

9-19-2014 – Unwanted Touching – A student reported to Campus Police a non-student was attending one of her classes and attempted on several occasions to touch her feet.  The non-student was identified by Campus Police and admitted to attending the class without being a student and attempting to grab the student’s foot.  The student declined to move forward with a criminal complaint.  The non-student was issued a trespass warning and escorted off campus.

9-19-2014 – Missing Student – A student came to Campus Police to report her roommate missing.  The student said her roommate went off with a couple non-students after an off-campus party and hadn’t returned yet.  Campus Police were able to locate and talk with the student who said she was fine.  When the student got back on campus she stopped by the Campus Police officer where she talked with one of our officers and we were able to physically account for her wellbeing.

9-23-2014 – Inappropriate Phone Calls – A Cusac Hall student came to the Campus Police office to report that he received a weird phone call from someone.  After a brief investigation it was determined the phone call came from the student’s roommate.  One resident student referred to Student Affairs for policy violations.

9-23-2014 – Eavesdropping – A male student was reported to be in the female restroom in the Stokes Administration Building.  FMU Staff members were able to identify the student to Campus Police.  The student was suspended from the university and is not allowed on campus pending an administrative review by Student Affairs.

9-26-2014 – Theft from a Vehicle – A resident student reported several items missing from his unlocked vehicle parked in Lot G.  This case is currently under investigation.

9-28-2014 – Trespassing – A Johnston Apartment student reported a suspicious male was on campus.  After a brief investigation, the identity of the male was determined to be someone who was already on the university’s trespass list.  Campus Police are continuing to investigate this matter and will likely obtain criminal trespassing warrants on this individual.
