For the period 11-01-13 through 11-10-13 the following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by Campus Police:
A report of Broken Seal on Liquor in a Motor Vehicle on Patriot Drive. One student issued a State Ticket and three students referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Simple Assault in Snow Isle Hall. A verbal argument between two students escalated into a minor physical confrontation when one was scratched by the other. The Victim declined any criminal justice charges. Student referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Theft from a Building that had been going on for several weeks. The Victims reported several items have been taken from their room since the middle of September.
A report of Theft from a Motor Vehicle in Parking Lot “A”. The Victim reported person(s) unknown several items were taken from their unsecure vehicle. Later attempts to use tracking software on the computer did not result in the discovery of the perpetrator.
A report of Possible Drug Use in Palmetto Hall. An anonymous individual called Campus Police to report the aroma of marijuana in their hall. Officers tracked the odor to a particular apartment however a consent search did not uncover any contraband. Four students referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Violation of Written Policy at the Community Center. Unapproved party flyers were found on the desk in the Community Center.
A report of Theft from a Motor Vehicle in Parking Lot “G”. The Victim reported that person(s) unknown removed several items from their vehicle. The vehicle had a broken door lock make it impossible to secure.
A report of Damage to State Property, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving under the Influence in Parking Lot “G”. A non-student was reported driving along a restricted access lane; the non-student damaged a traffic bollard and departed the scene. The non-student was contact along Fore Road and arrested.
A report of Simple Assault and Disturbing Schools at Chapman Auditorium. A non-student became involved in a verbal argument that escalated to punches being thrown. The non-student was arrested on 11/08/13 on several Assault & Battery warrants and one warrant for Disturbing Schools.
A report of Damage to Property along The Cottage Road. The Victim reported person(s) unknown may have damaged their car while it was parked from 11/04 to 11/06.
A report of Conduct that Threatens Health & Safety at Johnston Apartments. A student took a number of other the counter medications. The student was transported to the hospital and referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Vandalism to Property in Parking Lot “C”. The Victim reported their vehicle window was smashed by person(s) unknown. Although a number of items were in the vehicle, nothing was taken.
