 Beckie has taught at FMU since 1995.  She teaches American literature, poetry, and all forms of composition.  She's the Director of the Swamp Fox Writing Project .  She won FMU's Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004, and the Charlene Wages Shared Governance Award in 2008.
