Part-Time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach
Francis Marion University, a NCAA Division II institution, invites applications for the position of Part-Time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
On court coaching, teaching and scouting;
Assisting with the recruitment of student-athletes;
Assisting the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in meeting with various community organizations to promote interest in the athletic program at FMU;
Assisting Head Coach in monitoring student-athletes for academic requirements, retention, and progress toward graduation;
Assisting with all Fundraising activities;
Organizing and overseeing the game management duties; and
Maintaining all web-based compliance assistance software data.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Previous coaching experience is required, along with ability to communicate and teach skilled athletes in basketball. Valid South Carolina Driver’s License required. Candidates must have a working knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
