Mon. Sep. 21, 3 pm: Deadline to RSVP to Rooks (prooks@fmarion.edu ) for the Honors Reception for students and faculty at Wallace House on Sep. 24^th . There will be substantial refreshments, and you can bring a guest.

Th. Sep. 24: President and Mrs. Carter’s Reception at Wallace House, 6 – 8 pm. We will conduct a brief organizational meeting of the Honors Student Association during the Reception. Annual dues are $10. We need to nominate candidates for the four student officers; if you can’t attend, but want to run for office, contact me before Sep. 24^th. If you can’t make the Reception, but want to join HSA, come by my office (FH 106) anytime. You are not required to join, unless you want to go on the Fall Honors Trip.

Th. Sep. 24: Deadline to apply for the Washington Semester Program for Spring 2010.

Th. Oct. 1: Spring 2010 Honors class schedule ready. The complete schedule will be on the web stie and the bulletin boards in CEMC 241 and outside FH 103.

Tu. Oct. 6: Information meeting for those interested in the Fall Honors Trip to Washington DC. 3:45, FH 222B. If you’re interested in the Trip, this meeting is important. If you can’t attend, but want to go, see me. No one can sign up for the Trip before this meeting.

Wed. Oct. 21 – Fri. Oct. 30: Advising and pre-registration for Spring 2010. Remember, if you include at least one Honors class, you can pre-register on the first day!

Tu. Oct. 27: Deadline for letters of application to be an Honors Ambassador Abroad over Spring Break 2010.

Th. Oct. 29: Honors Play & Pizza Night for the FMU production of Buried Child.

November: HSA sponsored campus-wide Toys 4 Tots collection.

Th. Nov. 19 – Sun. Nov. 22: Fall Honors Trip to Washington DC; departing from FMU by bus Th. Noon and returning Sun. evening.

Tu. Dec. 8: HSA Christmas Party at Dr. Rooks’ house.
