LiveText Requires Account Validation

Beginning in Fall 2009, LiveText is requiring a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to validate your LiveText account.

You MUST follow the steps below in order to see your Fall 2009 courses:

1.  Log in to your LiveText account at http://c1.livetext.com using Mozilla Firefox web browser.

2.  In the upper right hand corner of your screen, look for the words “My Account.”  Click on [My Account].

3.  Scroll down to locate the “School Information” section and click on the [Edit] button for that section.

4.  For the "Student ID" box, leave your Social Security number there as typed.

5.  Locate the blank for the “School Provided PIN.”  Type in the last five digits of your NEW FMU ID number.  DO NOT ENTER THE ZEROES BEFORE THE NUMBER.  (Graduate students can obtain their new ID number from the instructor as the entire ID number is now printed on the instructors’ rolls.)

6.  Click [Confirm] or [Save], whichever button is there.

7.  On the next screen, look beside where the “School Provide PIN” is listed and see if the word “Validated” appears beside the PIN number.  If it does, you should now be able to click on the [Courses] tab and view your courses and assignments for Fall 2009.

Students who made this correction in order to see their Summer I 2009 or Summer II 2009 courses should NOT have to do anything as their information should have automatically been validated.

This is a ONE TIME correction, but until this step has been completed, students will NOT be able to view their courses in any semester.
