Ms. Catherine used both of these wash pots when she lived in this house. The one on the left is the one she gave for the present furnishing of the house. The pot was given to her by her mother-in-law back in the1930's and was old even then.  In this photo, she shows how she used a stick as part of her washing equipment to agitate the dirt out of the clothes.
