Biography

Dr. Jeffrey Pompe has been a member of the Francis Marion faculty since 1988. He was named Francis Marion University Trustee Research Scholar in February 2005. He teaches Economic Principles, Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Urban and Regional Economics, and Managerial Economics. His research has appeared in numerous journals including The Independent Review, the Journal of Institutional Economics, the Journal of Private Enterprise, Land Economics, the Natural Resources Journal, Ocean & Coastal Management, Review of Regional Studies, and the Southern Economic Journal. Dr. Pompe is co-author of the book Environmental Conflict: In Search of Common Ground, and has published chapters in numerous books including  Re-Thinking Green: Alternatives to Environmental Bureaucracy, Land Rights: the 1990s’ Property Rights Rebellion, and South Carolina Governance Project in Civil Education.
