About Submissions
Format
Articles should be submitted as a Word or full-text document attached to an e-mail and mailed to the Journal's editor, William F. Loewenstein, at wloewenstein@fmarion.edu. Authors must begin the article with a short, one-paragraph abstract summarizing the article and end with a short, one-paragraph summary of the author's education and experience.
Length
While there is no length requirement for articles, all articles are subject to editing.
References
Article references must be formatted using the latest style manual of either the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Modern Language Association (MLA).
Peer Review
Articles submitted for publication will be peer-reviewed by three readers assigned by the Journal's editor. Two of the three reviewers must approve the article in order for it to be published. Reviewers are encouraged to comment on any articles rejected in order for authors to revise and resubmit articles for reconsideration. Authors and readers will remain anonymous in a blind review process.
Rights
Authors retain all rights to articles, but grant the Department of Mass Communication at Francis Marion University the right to publish and archive articles submitted. Authors receive no payment for articles published and archived. Anyone wishing to reprint an article published must obtain permission from the author.
