FLORENCE, S.C. – Officials at Francis Marion University have announced tenure and promotion of faculty members for the 2007-08 academic year.

            Receiving promotions to professor are: D. Keith Best, theatre arts; Neil F. Riley, business administration; and Richard D. West, mathematics.

            Receiving promotions to associate professor are: Fangjun H. Arroyo, mathematics; Travis W. Knowles, biology; Jennifer L. Kunka, English; Damon A. Scott, mathematics; Timothy E. Shannon, biology; Ann M. Stoeckmann, biology; and David R. White, political science.

            Receiving promotion to assistant professor is: Marsha P. Taylor, English.

            Earning tenure are: Kunka, English, modern languages, and philosophy; Sylvia R. Lufkin, nursing; Scott, mathematics; Stoeckmann, biology; Taylor, English, modern languages, and philosophy; and White, political science and geography.
