Dr. Amy Lea Clemons
Ph.D. Purdue University
Clemons amy Amy Lea Clemons has a BA in English, with a licensure in Young Adult/Adolescent Integrated Language Arts Education from Bluffton College (OH). In 2005, she received an MA in Rhetoric and Composition from Northeastern University in Boston. She recently finished her PhD in Theory and Cultural Studies at Purdue University, completing her dissertation, "The Rhetoric of Hope: Kenneth Burke and Dystopian Fiction" in June of 2010. Aside from worrying about the end of the world, Clemons studies online fandom, the history of the British novel, the life and works of Burke, and contemporary rhetorical theory, particularly the rhetoric of science and technology.
