Ms. Natalie Smith Mahaffey
M.A. Clemson University
Natalie Smith Mahaffey has a BA in English from Francis Marion University. In 2010, she earned her Master’s of Arts in English from Clemson University with a focus in Modern Poetry, particularly that of Ezra Pound and H.D. However, through teaching, she has found her real passion lies in the Comp/Rhet field, which has led her to voluntarily read massive amounts of composition theory in her spare time. Besides this, she also has a fondness for her husband and two children, as well as their two cats, Clementine and Vader. In a more perfect world, she would be a grand writer of prose, but for now she’s perfectly happy teaching, inspiring, and nagging the written word out of her composition students.
