Ms. Watts earned her BA in professional writing from Francis Marion University and her MA in composition and rhetoric from Miami University of Ohio. After enduring two cold Ohio winters, Ms. Watts has returned home to South Carolina where she teaches freshman composition courses at FMU and enjoys playing banjo and guitar in her free time. Her research interests include visual rhetoric and working class studies.
