Dr. Lynn Hanson
Ph.D. University of Georgia
Dr. Lynn Hanson is Assistant Professor of English in the School of Arts and Sciences at Francis Marion University. Dr. Hanson teaches Business and Technical Communication courses and directs the internship program for students who seek careers writing for the professions. Dr. Hanson came to Francis Marion University in 1998 from The Pennsylvania College of Technology, a specialized college in The Pennsylvania State University system, where she taught English, Business and Technical Communication, and Speech Communication courses for eleven years. Prior to her life in Pennsylvania, Dr. Hanson worked for IBM in Austin, Texas, as an Information Developer. She earned the B.A. and M.A. in English from Auburn University and the Ph.D. in drama from the University of Georgia. Her research interests include theatre history and performance studies.
