International University, Cuernavaca (Universidad Internacional)

MexicoMap The International University at Cuernavaca was founded in 1980 and is affiliated with more than 100 institutions in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe. Its primary focus is on teaching intensive Spanish for foreign students at any skill level and Hispano-American literature and . Situated on the edge of the tropics, Cuernavaca has a consistent temperature of 80 F year round and is known as “the city of eternal spring.”

NOTE:   Due to the US State Department travel warnings, this program is not currently available to FMU students. Please see Dr. Kiely (below) or the International Studies Coordinator if you would like to consider other Spanish language programs.

Once travel warnigns are lifted, students can study at the Universidad Internacional in either the Fall of Spring semester.

At the Universidad Internacional you can attend courses in the following areas of study:

  • Administration and Economics
  • Tourism
  • Architecture and Graphic Design
  • Communications
  • Law
  • Languages
  • Political Science
  • International Relations

All courses are taught in Spanish.

Deadlines: 1 October for Spring; 01 March for Fall or Full Year

Semesters at the Universidad Internacional:

Fall begins in September and ends in December

Spring begins in January and ends in May

Housing: Homestay, On-campus guest residence, or off-campus apartments
