University of Applied Science in Schmalkalden

GermanyMapUniversity of Applied Sciences is a small university with about 2,900 students. Located in Thuringia, it offers courses designed to match the industry of the area. Schmalkalden also offers a two-week long German culture and language program in July and a three-week International Summer School program in June.

University of Trier

The University of Trier is located in the city of Trier.

The academic year is broken into two semesters: a winter semester (October 1st to March 31st) and a summer semester (April 1st to September 30th). Courses begin about the middle of the listed starting month. There is also a two-week long course offered before the start of the classes for those students interested in learning more about the German language and culture.

At the University of Trier you can attend courses in the following areas of study:

  • Humanities

Almost all courses are taught in German.

University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen

The University of Applied Science is located in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and offers teaching and research experience in the area of Business Studies. The student population is around 3,000 with 70 full-time teaching staff.

At the University of Applied Science, you can attend courses in the following areas of study:

  • Controlling, Management and Information (including International Management)
  • Financial Services and Corporate Finance
  • International Human Resource Management and Organization
  • International Business Management East Asia
  • Logistics
  • Marketing

For our students in the School of Business this is an ideal location for a study abroad experience. Although this is not a formal exchange we can arrange to send a limit number of students each year. We also have a formal exchange with Schmalkalden which also offers courses for students in our School of Business.
