Industrial/Organziation psychology uses the many empirical tools, especially measurement skills, of psychology. Examples include creating tests, selection procedures, surveys and training courses with the overall goal of improving employee satisfaction while enhancing productivity. I/O psychologists pay particular attention to psychometic issues of reliability and validity.
