Passport Information

Before you can travel abroad you must have a current Passport. Due to changes in the system used to issue a Passport, it can take up to 6 months for it to be sent to you. You can pay a fee to expedite the process if you are unsure that the Passport will be ready in time. The Florence Main Post Office requires you to call ahead and schedule an appointment.

To obtain a Passport (for the first time) you will need:

When you fill in the Form remember not to sign it until the Passport Acceptance Agent instructs you to do so.

  • Proof of US Citizenship. Often this will be your Certified birth certificate, Naturalization Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, or Consular Report of Birth Abroad.
