ResNet about

What is (ResNet) the Residential Network?

ResNet consists of the wired and wireless networks available to all FMU students living on-campus.  ResNet makes it possible for residential students to connect their personal computers directly to the network.  A data jack is provided for each student in their dorm or apartment within all residence halls of Francis Marion University.  Students must provide an ethernet cable to connect to the wired network.  Wireless access is currently available in the dorms.  2013 installations are scheduled for the Village and Forest Villas Apartments.

ResNet Clinic

ResNet support is available via phone (843-661-1111) and on the ResNet web site (see full link below).  Students may also contact the Help Desk to request a ResNet appointment.

How to Connect to the Wireless Network

During the summer of 2013, Campus Technology has been migrating from the Cisco wireless network to the Aruba wireless network.  Please click here for instructions on how to connect.

Resetting Your Network & Swampfox Email Passwords

We now have a self-service utility for resetting or changing your network authentication password which also will synchronize the new password with your Swampfox email account, no longer requiring you to contact the Help Desk for password assistance.
