Greetings from the Land of the Patriots! My name is Larrissa Clavon. I am so excited that you’re considering Francis Marion University as your college choice! Our purpose is to offer and provide you with an excellent education, ignite within you a zeal for research, and serve the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.
I began my college experience at Columbia College. I later transferred to North Carolina A&T State University, and graduated with a B.S. I’ve lived the in-state, out-of-state, and transfer experiences. I understand what goes into a college decision, which is why I’m here to help you connect the dots.
For all you out-of-state and international students, don’t feel left out. We welcome you as well! You’re invited to share your culture with us, and add to our diverse campus community. Our student body is comprised of 4,000 students—representing at least 25 states, and more than 10 countries.
You can choose from over 40 programs of study within the College of Liberal Arts, the School of Business, and the School of Education. At Francis Marion University we understand you play different roles in life, which is why, we offer you opportunities to be more than a student. Your experience with us is all about connecting you with the world you will embrace after college. For the international travel side in you, we offer Exchange Programs and Study Abroad.
The quest to finding the best university or college for you is one that requires honesty, time, and preparation. I would love to talk to you by phone, or chat with you via email. I’m here to listen to what you’re looking for in an institution, and share more of what we offer. I also invite you to experience our revolution by visiting our beautifully landscaped 400 acre campus! You just might fall in love.
