What is aDiplomat? A Diplomat is a student volunteer who assists the Admissions Office in many capacities. Many times the first person prospective students and parents speak with is a Diplomat. They assist with campus tours, Open House, and many other activities.
What are the benefits of joining the program? There are many benefits of becoming an FMU Diplomat. Not only will you get a chance to get involved on campus and meet other students, you will have a chance to work closely with many professors and university officials such as the Director of Admissions, Cynthia Harding, Associate Provosts Julie Bush and Dr. Ken Kitts, and the VP for Student Affairs, Darryl Bridges. We will also help you develop interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, which are vital to your success at FMU, and beyond. Most importantly, as a Diplomat you will have fun!

Program Requirements
New Freshmen: Must have a GPA of 3.0 and 1000 SAT.
Current Students: GPA= 2.75+

We hope that you will apply to become an FMU Diplomat. We accept applications throughout the year, but only admit new members at the start of each semester. If you would like to give back to your university, make new friends, develop the skills you will need for life after college, and have a lot of fun in the process, then this program is for you!
