At Francis Marion University, we know that deciding where to attend college is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make. That's why we believe it's so important to visit. It's the best way to know if FMU is right for you. Plus, we're proud of our beautiful 400+ acre campus, and we like to show you first hand why we believe FMU is such a great educational value. We've made visiting easy, with tours scheduled most weekdays and select Saturdays throughout the year. If you can't find a published time to suit you, give us a call and we will try to make additional arrangements. During your visit, you'll have the chance to meet with an admissions counselor. To meet a faculty member, or a staff member from another department, please ask for availability while making the tour reservation. You'll also meet with one of our exceptional student Diplomats to find out what FMU is really like from the student's perspective.

Campus Tours

Beginning May 6th - August 19th: Summer tours will be available at 9:30 a.m. only, Monday - Friday   

        Welcome to the South! Our morning tour time is for your health and safety; we have pop up thunderstorms in the afternoons as well as temperatures with humidity over 100 degrees. Please wear cool, light-colored clothing!

Tours depart promptly from the Admissions Office (Suite 113) in the Stokes Administration Building, so please arrive around 10 minutes early to check-in. Parking is available in Lot E at the main gate to the University.

Special Notes:

- Tours are offered at 9:30 a.m. only, Monday through Friday from now until August 19th.  On Fridays, no classes are in session and only a few offices on campus are open (Admissions, Financial Assistance, Human Resources and the President's office).

- Campus tours are not held when the university is closed.

It's a great opportunity to see our campus, meet our students, visit with faculty and staff, and learn more about programs and services at FMU. Deciding on a college is an exciting time. We have a lot to offer at FMU: small classes, excellent teaching, and many opportunities for involvement. Bring your parents and spend the morning with us. We'd love to see you.

You will learn more about FMU's programs and services and will have the opportunity to attend four sessions. Topics will include academic programs, financial assistance, residence life, campus services, admissions, and more. The Information Fair will provide an informal way for you to gather information and ask questions. Many different campus groups such as athletics, honors, student organizations and other services will be there. (Important: Come prepared for plenty of walking and the possibility of rain!)
