Francis Marion Academic Distinction Scholarship

Award = $1,000

The Distinction scholarship is automatically awarded to first-year students who have been accepted to Francis Marion University prior to May 1 of the student’s senior year. 

To be eligible, you must have the following:

• 3.0 GPA or higher
• 1100 SAT (critical reading and math) or 24 ACT composite score(s) or higher 
• Applied and been admitted to FMU for the fall semester

This award is renewable for 4 years by completing 30 semester hours a year and maintaining a 3.0 GPA.
Students awarded this scholarship are encouraged to apply for the Fellows or Patriot Scholarship.
