Modern Languages-French Track

MAJOR

•Total French credit hours required for graduation: 30 hours

•Total credit hours for all courses for graduation: 120 hours

•24 hours above the 199 level required, including French 301, 302, 401, and 402

•Must have two 12-hour collaterals approved by the Faculty adviser

OR

•18-hour minor approved by the Faculty adviser

Modern Languages- Spanish Track

MAJOR

•Total Spanish credit hours required for graduation: 33 hours

•Total credit hours for all courses for graduation: 120 hours

•27 hours above the 199 level required, including Spanish 301, 302, and 5 courses above 302

•Must have two 12-hour collaterals approved by the Faculty adviser

OR

•18-hour minor approved by the Faculty adviser

Important

•Placement tests will be given to all students with two or more years of high school experience in Spanish or French
                             -if wanting to continue at FMU
•Credit will be given for each semester’s work exempted due to placement
                                       -including Spanish and French 101
•A student may not take for credit a course they have tested out of, may audit without special approval a course from which he/she has been exempted
•A student may not repeat for credit a 100- or 200-level language once credit has been received at a higher level in the same language
*Example: A student may attempt for credit in Spanish 101 after receiving credit in Spanish 201*
