Applications sought for fourth-annual Art's Alive Art Show

            FLORENCE, S.C. – Applications from local artists are being sought for the fourth-annual Art’s Alive Art Show.

            The 31st-annual Art’s Alive Festival, and the art show, will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

            Art’s Alive is an all-day festival of the performing and visual arts, and features a wide variety of dance, music, theatrical performances and song.

            The Art’s Alive Art Show is a one-day exhibition and sales event designed to promote the quality of diverse artisans residing in the region. In addition to booths displaying items for sale, several sites will have artisans demonstrating their skills.

            The art show will be juried, with cash awards of $600, $300 and $150 awarded to first, second and third places, respectively.

            Area artists are invited to participate. There is an application/jury fee of $75 ($65 for Florence County residents). Applications must be received by Jan. 15.
