FLORENCE, S.C. – On April 17 and 19, Cut Time, Francis Marion University’s show choir, will present their spring concert “No Business Like Show Business.”
The performances will begin at 8 p.m. each night in the Hyman Fine Arts Center’s Adele Kassab Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
The concert features music from Broadway musicals of the past and present, and various members of the group will perform solos and duets.
Act One of the two-act performance presents songs such as “Old Fashioned Wedding” from Annie Get Your Gun, “Lullaby of Broadway” from 42nd Street and “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” from The Phantom of the Opera.
Act Two’s musical performances include “Seasons of Love” from Rent, “Dancing Through Life” from Wicked, “I Wish I could Go Back to College” from Avenue Q and “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray.
Cut Time is an audition-only group that combines singing and choreography. The show choir’s performances include venues ranging from local schools and service organizations to cruise ships and theme parks. In March, the show choir performed at “Disney’s Magic Music Days” at Walt Disney World.
