FLORENCE, S.C. – Fourteen Francis Marion University students have been named Patriot Scholars for the 2007-08 academic year. Patriot Scholarships are FMU’s top institutional scholarships.
Patriot Scholars receive $4,000 awards. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding freshmen who had at least a 3.5 grade point average in high school and scored 1300 or higher on the SAT.
Recipients may renew the scholarships for up to three years by maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
