FLORENCE, S.C. – On March 28, nine female students will contend for the title of Miss Francis Marion University.
The pageant will begin at 7 p.m. in the McNair Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
The theme of this year’s pageant is “Simple Elegance.” The winner will be determined based on an interview, an opening dance number and the casual and formal wear competitions during the pageant.
Pageant participants will be judged by the following FMU employees: Derrick Young, coordinator of recreational sports and evening programs; Vicki L. Williams, coordinator of orientation and provisional programs; Hubert Setzler III, business professor; LeRoy Peterson Jr., chemistry professor; Heather Macy, head women’s basketball coach; and Angela Crosland, news writer/editor. Auditor for the pageant is FMU Business Professor Mary R. Dittman.
