Summer terms to begin at FMU

Interested in getting ahead in your college coursework or need to catch up? Or maybe you just want to see what it is like taking that first college course? Then summer school at Francis Marion University may be just the thing for you.

Classes begin May 28 for the first summer term, and a second summer session is slated to begin July 7. Most classes meet for an extended period of time Monday through Thursday. There are no Friday classes during summer terms.

Pre-registration for currently enrolled FMU students is already under way. New and continuing students can register May 27 for the first term summer classes, and July 2 for the second term.

Available classes may be viewed on the FMU website at Click on “current students” and then hit “open class review.” Or you may request a summer schedule to be mailed to you by calling the FMU Admissions Office.

New students must be accepted to the university prior to taking classes at FMU. For more information, call the Admissions Office at 843-661-1231, or 1-800-368-7551.
