FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University Office of Career Development will host its 18th-annual Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Smith University Center commons area.
Representatives from area volunteer organizations who are in need of volunteers will set up booths and recruit students to become active in the community. Members of the public who are interested in volunteering are also invited to attend.
Numerous volunteer agencies will be on hand for the fair. Those scheduled to participate are: Alston Wilkes Society, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross Blood Services, Big Brothers – Big Sisters, Carolinas Hospital System, City of Florence/Parks, FAVOR Pee Dee, Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity, Home of Care, McLeod Hospice, The Naomi Project, Solicitor - 12th Circuit, Solicitor's Arbitration Program and United Way of Florence County.
