World-renowned pianist to perform at FMU, Sept. 23
FLORENCE – Pianist Mordecai Shehori will perform at Francis Marion University on Sept. 23 as part of the FMU Artist Series.
The concert will be held at 8 p.m. in the Kassab Recital Hall in the Hyman Fine Arts Center on campus. Admission is free.
Shehori, a world-renowned pianist, was born into an artistically gifted family in Israel. Upon arrival in America, he continued his musical studies at Julliard School, and Mannes College of Music. He is internationally recognized for his virtuosity, sophisticated and inspired interpretation and consummate musicianship.
When Shehori is not performing concerts around the world he resides in New York where he teaches the art of the piano to students from music lovers to professionals.
