AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference and commissioner David R. Brunk recently announced the PBC All-Sportsmanship Team for the 2007-08 academic year. One male and one female student-athlete from each of the league’s 11 member schools were selected to the team.
Junior baseball catcher Jared Barkdoll of Greencastle, Pa., and junior volleyball player Jessica Lombardi of Massillon, Ohio, represented Francis Marion University on the squad.
Each PBC member institution selected their own representatives to appear on the team based on criteria set by each school. However, each student-athlete on the All-Sportsmanship Team has demonstrated consistently good sportsmanship and ethical behavior in his or her daily participation in PBC athletics and good citizenship outside of their sports setting. Each member of the All-Sportsmanship Team will receive a certificate from the Peach Belt Conference.
