FLORENCE, SC - Former Francis Marion University left-handed pitcher Ryan Ariail has been named to play in the independent Northern League All-Star Game at Canwest Park in Winnipeg on July 8.

Ariail, a native of Elgin, S.C., will play for the I-29 All-Stars against the Chicagoland All-Stars.

Ariail plays for the Winnipeg Goldeyes and owns a 3-1 record with a 2.10 earned run average.  He has appeared in 19 games and fanned 26 batters in 25.2 innings, while allowing only 22 hits.

The All-Star rosters were selected by voting from the league’s managers, radio broadcasters, local media, and veteran players.
