Patriot diamond changes and Senior Days

FLORENCE, SC – The non-conference baseball game between Francis Marion University and St. Andrews Presbyterian College scheduled for Wednesday evening has been canceled. However, the Patriots have rescheduled an earlier rain out with Belmont Abbey College for Thursday at 3 p.m. on FMU’s Cormell Field.

Francis Marion has a 22-13-1 record, while Belmont Abbey is 23-18.

This weekend, the Patriots will host Georgia Southwestern State University for a three-game Peach Belt Conference series. The squads will play a single game on Friday at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The nationally ranked Patriot men’s and women’s tennis teams will play their final regular-season match on Thursday when FMU entertains NCAA Division I opponent South Carolina State University. The Senior Day matches will both begin at 2 p.m. on the Kassab Courts.

The Francis Marion softball team will also close out it regular season with a pair of home twinbills this weekend. The Patriots will play host to St. Andrews Presbyterian College on Friday at 2 p.m. and 14th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne College on Saturday at 1 p.m. The softball squad will also honor its 10 seniors on Saturday.
