FMU to feature recent ceramic works by Doug Gray, Aug. 18-Sept. 24

FLORENCE - Francis Marion University’s Art Gallery Series will feature the recent ceramic works of FMU Professor of Art Doug Gray from Aug. 18-Sept. 24 in the Hyman Fine Arts Center gallery. 

Gray was born in Knoxville, Tenn. and raised in Bowling Green, Ky.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in ceramics and creative writing from the University of Louisville and the M.F.A. degree in ceramics and art history from the University of North Texas School of Visual Arts. Prior to joining the FMU faculty in 1997, he taught at the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Sul Ross State University. His artwork has been exhibited in juried and invitational exhibitions across the nation. 

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
