FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion University women’s soccer team will host The Citadel for an exhibition match on Tuesday (Aug. 18).

The match will kick-off at 1 p.m. on the FMU Soccer Field, and admission is free.

Under the direction of first-year head coach Joel Person, the Patriot women return 15 letterwinners, including eight starters, from last season’s 6-12-1 squad.

This will be the third season as a full-fledged NCAA Division I member for the FMU program. The Patriots will open their regular-season on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at Campbell University, before then hosting Navy on Sunday at noon.

The Citadel, 3-14-1 a year ago, returns 14 players including sophomore defender Leah Hawkins, a product of Wilson High School.
