FMU to host annual Volunteer Fair, Sept. 16
FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University Office of Career Development will host its 19th-annual Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Smith University Center commons area.
Representatives from area volunteer organizations who are in need of volunteers will set up booths and recruit students to become active in the community. Members of the public who are interested in volunteering are also invited to attend.
Numerous volunteer agencies will be on hand for the fair. Those scheduled to participate are: Alston Wilkes Society, American Red Cross, Big Brothers – Big Sisters, Florence County Disabilities & Special Needs, Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity, McLeod Hospice, Mercy Medicine, The Naomi Project, Solicitor Office- 12th Circuit, Pee Dee Mental Health Center, The Salvation Army, Solicitor's Arbitration Program, SouthernCare and Winyah Healthcare Group.
