FMU to hold Youth Basketball Clinic, Nov. 2

FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University women’s basketball team will hold a Youth Basketball Clinic for boys and girls, kindergarten through eighth grade, on Monday, Nov. 2. The camp is being held on a day when Florence School District One students are out of school because of parent-teacher conferences.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Smith University Center. Campers will be supervised from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for working parents.

The cost will be $25. The cost does not include lunch, so campers are asked to bring a bag lunch. Campers should wear appropriate clothing (t-shirt, shorts, basketball shoes).

The camp will include instruction in the areas of ball handling, dribbling, passing, and shooting.

For more details or to register, contact FMU women’s basketball office at 843-661-1249 or
