FMU to hold Youth Basketball Clinic, Nov. 1
FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s basketball programs will hold a Youth Basketball Clinic for boys and girls, kindergarten through eighth grade, on Monday, Nov. 1. The camp is being held on a day when Florence School District One students are out of school because of parent-teacher conferences.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Smith University Center. Campers will be supervised from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for working parents.
The cost will be $25. Florence Youth Basketball League players will get a discounted rate of $20. The cost does not include lunch, so campers are asked to bring a bag lunch. Campers should wear appropriate clothing (t-shirt, shorts, basketball shoes).
The camp will include instruction in the areas of ball handling, dribbling, passing, and shooting. Campers will receive a t-shirt.
