FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion University men’s basketball team will host Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday evening (Jan. 19) at 7 p.m. in the Smith University Center.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students with FMU students being admitted free with a valid identification card.

Francis Marion is 9-5 and has won its last 17 home contests against non-conference opponents. Junior forward Liki Turner leads the Patriots in scoring at 16.3 points per game, while freshman guard Evrik Gary adds 13.3 ppg and senior forward Simel Boyd 13.1 ppg. FMU continues to lead the Peach Belt Conference in scoring at 82.7 ppg.
Johnson & Wales, located in Charlotte, N.C., is 0-17 following an 80-32 loss to Randolph College on Saturday.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Patriots and Wildcats.
Both the FMU men’s and women’s basketball teams will return to Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday as the Patriots travel to St. Augustine, Fla., to face Flagler College in an afternoon doubleheader.
