FLORENCE, S.C. – With the threat of precipitation this weekend, the Francis Marion University baseball and softball schedules have been altered.
The 16th-ranked Patriot baseball team (21-8, 6-3) is set to play a three-game Peach Belt Conference weekend series against Augusta State University (15-16, 7-5). Those contests has been pushed up a day to hopefully avoid the weekend rain.
The series will now start with a single game on Friday at 7 p.m. and conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Admission to home games is $6 for adults and $4 for students with FMU students being admitted free with a valid identification card.
The FMU softball team’s PBC road doubleheader at fifth-ranked North Georgia College & State University, set for Saturday afternoon, has been canceled and will be made up at a later date.
The Patriots will return to action on April 2 with a home twinbill against 23rd-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University.
