FMU Performing Arts Center to host The Crosswinds Trio

FLORENCE – The Crosswinds Trio will bring its unique sound in chamber music to the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The trio, made up of Gary Ross (trumpet); Lawrence Kursar (horn) and Michael Toth (piano) draw on their diverse musical backgrounds and experiences from the orchestral stage, the jazz club and the recital hall to create a refreshing sound. With more than 200 innovative arrangements for this distinct combination of trumpet, horn and piano, they have established a previously unexplored musical genre.

They will appear in the smaller, more intimate Black Box Theatre at the beautiful new facility in downtown Florence at the corner of Dargan and Palmetto Streets.

Tickets for their show start at $10 and may be purchased at, via telephone at (843) 661-4444, and at the FMU Performing Arts Center Box Office. Telephone and personal ticket sales are available Monday through Friday between 12-5 p.m. Subject to availability, tickets may be available for purchase at the door.
