FLORENCE – The Cashore Marionettes will be performing two shows at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 10. Both shows will be performed in the more intimate Black Box Theatre at the PAC.
The Marionettes show is unmatched in artistry, grace and refinement of movement and the internationally acclaimed group redefines the art of puppetry. The moving and humorous performances have astounded audiences in Europe, the Far East and across North America including stops at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
The afternoon program, “Simple Gifts”, is a series of touching portrayals and poignant scenes from everyday life set to stunning music by such composers as Vivaldi, Strauss, Beethoven and Copland. The evening program, “Life in Motion”, is a powerful, entertaining, surprising, theatrically satisfying, one-of-a-kind evening for adults and young adults.
Tickets for the afternoon show begin at $5 and begin at $10 for the evening show and may be purchased at www.fmupac.org, via telephone at (843) 661-4444, and at the FMU Performing Arts Center Box Office. Telephone and personal ticket sales are available Monday through Friday between 12-5 p.m. Tickets may be available for purchase at the door.
