FMU Nursing Program reports 100% NCLEX pass rate

FLORENCE – One hundred percent of the spring 2012 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates at Francis Marion University passed the NCLEX-RN licensure examination on their first attempt. This pass rate places FMU among the top-ranking universities in the state for NCLEX-RN success.

Forty graduates posted perfect pass rates on the first attempt of the NCLEX exam and are licensed professional nurses.

“We are extremely proud of our nursing graduates, as well as our outstanding faculty,” said Ruth Wittmann- Price, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Nursing. “This 100 percent performance is the result of much hard work and also reflects the success of FMU’s nursing curriculum that requires students to demonstrate that they have the knowledge and skills we want for every nursing student and for every graduate.”

FMU’s spring 2011 graduating class of 33 experienced a 100 percent pass rate on their first attempt of the NCLEX-RN licensure examination as well.
