The Francis Marion University Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, in the Hendrick Room of Ervin Dining Hall.
The trustees will consider a resolution approving the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Degree Program. They will also hear reports from their standing committees and from FMU President Dr. Fred Carter.
Committee meetings will be held earlier in the day Friday at Ervin Dining Hall. The Executive Affairs Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Hendrick Room, followed by a 9:30 a.m. meeting of the Financial Affairs and Facilities Committee. The Academic Affairs and Accreditation Committee also will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Palmetto Room in Ervin Dining Hall. At 10:30 a.m., the Development and Alumni Committee will meet in the Hendrick Room, while the Student Affairs and Athletics Committee meet in the Palmetto Room. The unveiling of the Doug Smith Statue will be held in the Rotunda of Stokes Administration Building following the board meeting, in honor of the University’s first president.
