Announced at a campus banquet recently, this award has been given since the 1975-76 school year and is based upon a faculty member’s contributions to teaching, professional service and scholarly activities.
Of her, FMU President Dr. Fred Carter said, “Kay is deeply committed to her undergraduate and graduate students. For the past 26 years, these students have held her in the highest esteem. She is a knowledgeable and compassionate teacher and scholar who is truly deserving of this recognition.”
The award, named in honor of a former chairman of the FMU Board of Trustees, is the highest honor to be bestowed upon a faculty member.
