FMU Performing Arts Center to begin season 3
Tickets are now available for the sizzling third season of shows at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center and there is a new season brochure brimming with must-see productions that will begin in September.
During its 2013-2014 season, FMU will again bring some of the most memorable performing artists to the Pee Dee region in a first-class theater that is affordable, accessible – and where parking is always free.
From the Broadway classics revived and arranged by Neil Berg's 102 Years of Broadway to the seasoned sound of the Claire Lynch Band, the PAC is back with five different series performing on the main stage that include Broadway and more, Americana, family, concert, variety and an add-on performance in coordination with the FMU Fine Artist Series.
In addition to those performances, thousands of school children from all over the Pee Dee area will enjoy programs selected especially for them from the Family Series. The PAC will also showcase performances from the S.C. Dance Theatre, Florence Symphony Orchestra, the FMU Department of Fine Arts, the FMU Concert Band, FMU Music Industry and Percussion ensembles and the Masterworks Choir.
General booking for the shows and the rest of the new season is now open! For more information and a full list of events, pick up a new brochure or visit the PAC website at, via telephone at (843) 661-4444, and at the FMU Performing Arts Center Box Office. Telephone and personal ticket sales are available Monday through Thursday between 12-5 p.m. Subject to availability, tickets for individual performances will be available 30 days prior to the show.
The 68,000-square-foot center can seat 850 in the Mainstage Auditorium and up to 125 in the Black Box Theatre. As an educational facility, the center houses classrooms and office space for the FMU Department of Fine Arts. In addition, the building houses offices for the Florence Symphony, the FMU Music Industry faculty and the Drs. Bruce & Lee Foundation.
