Tickets to see country music legend Travis Tritt at FMU's Performing Arts Center going fast

Tritt photoWith less than one month before Francis Marion University welcomes the multi-platinum and two-time Grammy award-winning country music legend Travis Tritt to the Performing Arts Center stage, tickets to the Feb. 8 concert are nearly gone.

They are still available for purchase at a cost of $50 and the PAC is offering the special limited ticketing options that include 6-seat boxes at a cost of $300, seats covering the area and directly in front of the stage and obstructed view seating at a cost of $30 per ticket.

Box seating and obstructed view seats must be purchased by phone at 843-661-4444 or at the FMU Performing Arts Center Box Office. Pit area seating can be purchased at the PAC website at, by phone or in person.

This special show is a supplement to the PAC’s regular season slate, which features a line-up of the most memorable performing artists throughout the Pee Dee region. This show is the first announced “PAC Plus” event, one of several anticipated additions to the PAC’s regular 2013-14 season schedule, said Laura Sims, director of the PAC.

“Travis Tritt is a welcome addition to our programming for this season,” said Sims. “We expect to have others of equal billing to announce later in the season.”

The Florence show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is part of a regional tour in which Tritt will boast his abilities as both a singer and a musician. The show is an acoustical show, featuring a limited backup band. He is set to perform songs from his new critically acclaimed album 'The Calm After...' featuring a duet with his oldest daughter, Tyler Reese. The new project is actually an updated version of Tritt’s last album, ‘The Storm.’

Beginning his career in the early ’90s, Tritt was somewhat of a bad boy with a heart of gold. Tritt’s debut album was released in 1990, and he released an album a year for three years before his fourth came out in 1994. Those albums spawned hits such as “Foolish Pride,” “Can I Trust You With My Heart?” and “Here’s A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).”

For more information and a full list of events, pick up a new brochure or visit the PAC website at, via telephone at (843) 661-4444, and at the FMU Performing Arts Center Box Office. Telephone and personal ticket sales are available Monday through Friday between 12-5 p.m. Subject to availability, tickets for individual performances will be available 30 days prior to the show.
