Carter at 6:30 p.m. and the program beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person with proceeds going toward the group’s scholarship funds and functions.
The keynote speaker for the gala is Florence Attorney Linward C. Edwards II (’04).
For the fifth year, the AAFSC Diversity Award will be presented to an FMU faculty or staff member who has made noteworthy efforts to promote and foster diversity.
“We invite the public to join us as we celebrate our commonalities and our cultural differences, boast student achievement and honor an employee who has worked to undergird those efforts on and off campus,” said Howard Brown, past president of the AAFSC.
