Michael Blue presents "The Tribe"
Bishop Michael A. Blue presents "The Tribe" at FMU's Performing Arts Center

It’s a gospel choir of epic reach, drawing singers from nearly every county of the Pee Dee region. Bishop Michael Blue presents “The Tribe” on the mainstage at the Francis Marion University’s Performing Arts Center as part of a “Community Concert Series” at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2.

Like most events in the community series, tickets to the show are just $5. Tickets are available at the PAC box office (843-661-4444). The box office is open daily noon to 5 p.m. and up to show time on the night of the show.

The TRIBE is an aggregation of men and women who have ministered in various musical entities under the directorship of Blue in Marion and Dillon counties and in the Greater Pee Dee Region, over the past thirty plus (30+) years. The Palmetto Lights, The Sellers Community Choir, The Marion High School Black History Choir, The Chosen Generation, The Gathering, The Marion High School Gospel Chorus, and The Voices of Hope Sanctuary Choir share kinship: they have each been blessed to uniquely lift up their voices in the artistic expression and the exclusive medium designed to convey the Message of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Together, representatives of these past and present choirs join forces to take their musical aspirations to the next level, for the present and for future generations.

Tickets for each show are only $5, with the exception of an April 27 appearance by the 282nd Army Band from Fort Jackson. There is no admission charge for that concert.

Upcoming shows in the community series include:

April 27 – Fort Jackson 282nd Army Band. No admission charge for this event, but tickets may be picked up beginning March 27

For more information and a full list of events, pick up a new brochure or visit the PAC website at www.fmupac.org, via telephone at (843) 661-4444, and at the FMU Performing Arts Center Box Office. Telephone and personal ticket sales are available Monday through Friday between 12-5 p.m.
